Stora Brännbo - When Meetings Count. Situated in Sigtuna, just 15 minutes from Arlanda, we are an attractive alternative for conferences and private guests alike.
Stora Brännbo is a member of IACC (International Association of Conference Centers), a global organization of quality-minded conference centers. We are a member of Svenska Möten (Swedish Meetings), which has 120 hand-picked meeting points throughout Sweden, and also a member of the conference group, Konferens Sigtuna. Stora Brännbo is a "Swan-labelled" hotel and conference venue and has high environmental standards and routines.
Conferences and Meetings
We offer 36 flexible meeting rooms designed for different types of work situations and conference needs. The largest room seats 130 people in a theatre style arrangement. The smallest room seats 4-6 people. All technical equipment is available and the entire center has wireless Internet. You're more than welcome to come to a viewing of Stora Brännbo before you make your booking.
Hotel
Of our 101 hotel rooms, 23 are doublerooms and 78 singlerooms. In 22 of the doublerooms you'll find a sofa which easily can be used as an extra bed. In one double room there is a sofabed for two people. Two rooms are available to meet the needs of guests with disabilities.
Food
Our prized kitchen serves a breakfast buffet and lunch with two choices of entrées and dessert. In the evenings, a three-course meal or generous buffet is available. The buffet is varied by scheduled themes.
Spa and Fitness
Timeout Spa & Event, the spa and fitness centre offers strength and cardio-training, yoga and meditation, and well as showers, saunas and a Jacuzzi.
Activities

Our Business Idea
Since 2007, Stora Brännbo is owned and operated by Björn Jonzon and Ebba Johansson, and also Lotta Giesenfeld Boman and Ulf Boman. Björn is the CEO and Lotta Vice CEO of the company. Both are highly engaged in the daily routines, and together bring over 30 years of experience to running Stora Brännbo.

History
"Kommunskolan" in Sigtuna was inaugurated here in 1956. It was an educational centre for municipal employees and politicians from all of Sweden's municipalities. In 1987 it became a conference centre, but kept its name, Stora Brännbo.
Originally the name "Stora Brenneboda" was the name of a freehold under the royal estate of Venngarn, and was first recorded in the will of Sir Eskil Isaksson-Banér´s wife, Lady Cecilia, who had been given the estate "Stora Brenneboda", when she married her husband in 1461. The buildings of today were inaugurated in 1956, and are typical of that decade. It was intended for the further education of employees and functionaries in towns, boroughs, and rural districts of Sweden, and the big clock at the front is a tell-tale sign that the architect mainly designed schools. The venue has gone through many changes since then.
